Опис

Sow seed in fall in moist, humus-rich to average, slightly acidic to neutral soil in partial to full shade — elm-leaved goldenrod is an eastern North American native recognized by its leaves, which closely resemble elm leaves with strongly toothed, slightly rough-textured blades on short petioles. It grows naturally in moist, open woodland and woodland edges, making it one of a small number of goldenrods genuinely adapted to shaded conditions. The arching, one-sided (secund) racemes of small golden flowers appear in late summer through fall in shaded locations where most goldenrods cannot bloom. Like blue-stemmed goldenrod, it fills an important ecological niche by providing late-season nectar and pollen in shaded settings where pollinators searching for fall resources would otherwise find nothing. Spreads by rhizome to form a colony. An excellent native goldenrod for adding late-season ecological value to the woodland garden. Спосіб посадки: Посів у відкритий ґрунт Відстань між рослинами: 18–24 дюймів Висота: 24–48 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–21 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 13–18°C
