Опис

Plant in moist, slightly acidic to neutral, humus-rich, well-drained to moderately moist soil in partial to deep shade — leopard plant is one of the most valuable and underused shade perennials for the Gulf Coast, producing extraordinarily bold, round, glossy, deep-green, leathery leaves up to 18 inches across that retain a tropical freshness through the hottest Gulf Coast summers. The common cultivar 'Aureomaculatum' (spotted leopard plant) has large yellow spots scattered across the dark green leaves, giving a striking, almost artificial-looking pattern. Yellow daisy flowers appear in fall to winter on tall stalks, providing late-season color when most shade perennials are shutting down. Completely evergreen in zone 8–10; the leathery leaves resist frost damage better than most shade perennials and the plant is reliably root-hardy through zone 7 winters. Clumps increase slowly and need division only every 5–7 years. An outstanding long-term, zero-maintenance shade perennial for Gulf Coast gardens. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження діленням куща Відстань між рослинами: 24–36 дюймів Висота: 18–24 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–28 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 16–21°C
