Опис

American Yellowwood is a superb native shade tree, native to rich, well-drained limestone bluffs, rocky slopes, and bottomland forest edges in the mid-South from North Carolina and Kentucky south to Alabama and west to Oklahoma, producing in May and June the most spectacular flowering display of any native shade tree — long, pendulous clusters of fragrant, white, pea-like flowers resembling wisteria that drape the wide-spreading canopy in a breathtaking display. The smooth, light gray bark resembles beech bark and is ornamental year-round; the bright green, pinnately compound leaves turn yellow in fall; and the wood at the heartwood core is bright yellow — hence the common name. Yellowwood blooms on alternate years or following stress, but the wait is always worth it. Grow in well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil in full sun to partial shade; it adapts to a wide range of conditions once established and is a long-lived, virtually pest-free tree. Спосіб посадки: Висадка розсади Відстань між рослинами: 360–540 дюймів Висота: 360–600 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–30 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
