Vision In Pink is a shade-loving perennial astilbe that sends up soft pink, feathery flower plumes above mounds of deep green, finely cut foliage in summer. Plant in partial to full shade in humus-rich, consistently moist soil; it will not tolerate dry conditions. Divide clumps every few years in spring to maintain vigor and increase your planting. Cut back spent plumes or leave them for winter interest, and mulch to keep roots cool and moist. It is an excellent choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and near water features.
