Опис

Two-winged Silverbell is a beautiful native understory tree, native to the rich, moist bottomland forests and floodplain terraces of the southeastern coastal plain from North Carolina to Florida and west to Texas, where it blooms prolifically in March and April with cascading clusters of white, bell-shaped flowers that cover the bare branches before the leaves emerge — one of the finest native spring-flowering trees in the southern garden. Distinguished from Carolina Silverbell (Halesia carolina) by its fruit having only two wings instead of four, and adapted to the warmer, more humid conditions of the lower South, Two-winged Silverbell is the appropriate silverbell for Gulf Coast gardens. The bright green summer foliage, attractive bark, and yellow fall color provide year-round interest; grow in moist, well-drained, acidic to slightly alkaline soil in partial shade under larger canopy trees or at woodland edges. More tolerant of summer heat than H. carolina. Спосіб посадки: Висадка розсади Відстань між рослинами: 180–300 дюймів Висота: 180–360 дюймів Дні до схожості: 90–180 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 4–13°C
