Опис

Plant in very well-drained, dry, sandy to loamy soil in partial shade — unlike most aloes that demand full sun, tiger aloe is unique in preferring partial shade or bright indirect light, making it one of the most valuable and unusual succulents for shaded dry garden conditions. The compact, triangular, dark green leaves arranged in three ranks are beautifully marked with irregular white horizontal bands and spots — a striking, ornamental pattern that gives rise to the common names tiger and partridge breast. The salmon-pink to coral-red tubular flowers on tall stalks appear in winter and spring, providing color when the garden needs it most. Compact enough for windowsills, containers, and small garden pockets; it produces offsets slowly to form small clusters. Native to the scrubby karoo shrubland and rocky hillside outcrops of South Africa. Outstanding as a houseplant in bright indirect light or as an outdoor container plant in shade in Gulf Coast zone 9–11. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження діленням куща Відстань між рослинами: 10–14 дюймів Висота: 10–14 дюймів
