Опис

Powdery Thalia is a bold, tropical-looking native marginal aquatic plant, native to the shallow waters, bayous, and marshy pond margins of the southeastern United States from South Carolina to Florida and west to Texas, producing large, blue-green, powdery (glaucous) leaves reminiscent of a giant canna on stems reaching 4–6 feet and small violet-purple flowers on tall, branched spikes in summer. It is one of the most architecturally impressive native aquatic plants for water gardens, rain gardens, and naturalized pond edges, providing year-round coarse texture in the shallow water zone and offering excellent cover and nesting habitat for ducks and wading birds. In zones 6–7 the crown may die to the waterline in severe winters but re-sprouts reliably from the roots in spring; in zones 8–11 it is evergreen or semi-evergreen. Plant rhizome divisions in still or slow-moving water at pond margins, in containers submerged 2–4 inches below the water surface, or in saturated soil at the water's edge. Спосіб посадки: Висадка розсади Відстань між рослинами: 24–36 дюймів Висота: 36–72 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–30 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 21–27°C
