Опис

Plant in well-drained, alkaline to slightly acidic, dry to moderately moist soil in full sun to partial shade — Texas redbud is the heat-and-drought-hardy western variety of our native eastern redbud, offering the same spectacular early spring bloom — dense clusters of magenta-pink pea-flowers covering every branch before the leaves emerge — with significantly improved performance in the rocky limestone soils, alkaline caliche, and intense summer heat of the western Gulf Coast and Edwards Plateau. The foliage is rounded, glossy, and notably thicker and more heat-tolerant than the standard species, holding up through brutal Texas summers without scorching. Selected cultivars like 'Oklahoma' (with very dark, glossy foliage and wine-red flowers) and 'Texas White' (clear white flowers) offer outstanding ornamental refinements over the species. An outstanding small patio or understory tree for dry, alkaline, sunny to lightly shaded garden sites in zone 6–9, requiring minimal water once established. Спосіб посадки: Висадка розсади Відстань між рослинами: 144–240 дюймів Висота: 180–300 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–30 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
