Опис

Plant in well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil in full sun to partial shade; strawberry guava is a highly productive and flavorful small fruit tree or large shrub that produces abundant crops of 1-inch round fruits in red (the classic form) or yellow (Psidium cattleyanum var. lucidum, lemon guava) with an intensely sweet, slightly strawberry-like flavor — arguably the finest-flavored guava species, often preferred over the larger common guava by people who taste it. The glossy, dark-green evergreen leaves and smooth, mottled reddish-brown bark provide year-round ornamental value. In zone 9 it may suffer light frost damage but typically recovers well. It is extremely drought, heat, and poor-soil tolerant once established and produces fruit with minimal care. Important note: strawberry guava is listed as one of the world's 100 worst invasive species in subtropical humid regions — do not plant where it can escape to natural areas in Hawaii, Florida, and similar climates. In drier Gulf Coast locations it is less problematic. Спосіб посадки: Висадка розсади Відстань між рослинами: 60–120 дюймів Висота: 72–240 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–30 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 21–27°C
