Опис

Plant in moist, humus-rich, slightly acidic to neutral, well-drained soil in partial to light shade — Indian pink is one of the most spectacular hummingbird plants in the eastern native flora, producing clusters of brilliant red tubular flowers with abruptly flared, yellow-green tips in late spring to early summer, providing perfectly shaped perches and nectar reservoirs for ruby-throated hummingbirds. The intensely two-toned coloration — deep red tube, bright yellow mouth — makes it one of the most visually striking wildflowers in the woodland garden. It grows naturally in the moist, humus-rich soils of deciduous forest understories and shaded ravines from Maryland to Kansas and south to Florida. The upright, multi-stemmed clumps produce shiny, dark green, opposite leaves and bloom reliably in dappled shade. Slow to establish but extremely long-lived; pairs beautifully with wild blue phlox, wild columbine, and maidenhair fern in the shade garden. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження діленням куща Відстань між рослинами: 12–18 дюймів Висота: 18–24 дюймів Дні до схожості: 21–42 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 16–21°C

It resents root disturbance — plant at its final location and leave undisturbed.
