Опис
Sow seed in fall in moist, humus-rich, slightly acidic to neutral soil in partial shade; the plant is a spring ephemeral that blooms in early spring with distinctive nodding clusters of swept-back petals in white to pink with a yellow ring at the center. After flowering and setting seed in late spring, the foliage yellows and the plant goes fully dormant by midsummer — mark the location well and interplant with later-emerging shade perennials. Plants grown from seed typically require 2–3 years to produce their first bloom. Naturalize in groups of a dozen or more for the most impactful display in a woodland garden.

Direct sow in fall in the garden for natural cold stratification; seeds require at least 60 days of cold moist conditions before they will germinate in spring. Division of established crowns is the faster propagation method.
