The flat, succulent rosettes of three-part leaves form a dense groundcover, and the starry white flowers in spring attract native bees. Unlike most sedums, it prefers consistent moisture and will not thrive in hot, dry, sunny locations. Propagate by division or stem cuttings any time during the growing season; pieces root readily when placed in contact with moist soil.
