Опис

Seaside goldenrod is the salt-tolerant goldenrod of Atlantic and Gulf Coast dunes, salt marshes, and coastal strand habitats — its exceptional salt spray and saline soil tolerance makes it the goldenrod of choice for coastal gardens and living shoreline plantings where other goldenrods would fail. The large, arching sprays of golden-yellow flowers appear from late summer through fall and are among the most important late-season nectar sources on the coastal Atlantic and Gulf Coast, supporting migrating monarchs, native bees, and dozens of butterfly species during their southward migration. Unlike many goldenrod species that spread aggressively by rhizomes to the point of being weedy, seaside goldenrod spreads more moderately and is well-behaved in garden borders; its large, fleshy, salt-tolerant leaves also distinguish it from most other goldenrods. Combine with sea lavender, salt marsh asters, and ornamental grasses in coastal pollinator gardens for a stunning fall display that also provides critical wildlife habitat. Спосіб посадки: Посів у відкритий ґрунт Відстань між рослинами: 18–36 дюймів Висота: 24–72 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–21 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 16–21°C
