Опис

Plant in well-drained, slightly acidic, moderately fertile soil in full sun; queen palm is one of the most popular and widely planted tropical palms in Florida, southern California, and the Gulf Coast, and for good reason — it grows rapidly (3–6 feet per year), has beautiful arching bright-green feather-compound fronds, and produces pendant clusters of small orange-yellow fruit beloved by wildlife. The smooth, light gray trunk has distinctive leaf scar rings that give it a clean, elegant appearance. It is not as cold-hardy as sabal or windmill palms — significant damage occurs below 25°F — making it marginal in zone 9a. Plant in a protected south-facing microclimate for best results. Queen palm is highly susceptible to Ganoderma root rot (avoid wounding roots and overcrowding) and may develop nutrient deficiencies in alkaline soils — regular palm fertilizer applications with micronutrients are essential. Спосіб посадки: Висадка розсади Відстань між рослинами: 120–240 дюймів Висота: 240–720 дюймів Дні до схожості: 30–90 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 21–29°C

Apply palm-specific slow-release fertilizer 3 times per year.
