Опис

Direct sow or transplant into very well-drained, dry to moderately moist soil in full sun — prairie verbena is a sprawling, finely cut-leaved native groundcover of the southern Great Plains and Gulf Coast prairies, producing clusters of bright rose-pink to lavender-pink flowers nearly year-round in warm climates from fall through spring and sporadically through summer. It is one of the most important native nectar plants for low-growing prairie butterflies including the Phaon crescent, bordered patch, and sulfur species. The silvery-green, finely dissected foliage forms an attractive, trailing mat that roots where stems contact soil, spreading to cover rocky slopes, dry banks, and open gravel. It thrives in the alkaline, caliche-heavy, or sandy soils of the southern Gulf Coast that defeat many garden plants. Essentially no supplemental irrigation is needed in adapted soils; good drainage is critical — the plant will not survive in wet or clay soils. Спосіб посадки: Посів у відкритий ґрунт Відстань між рослинами: 12–18 дюймів Висота: 6–12 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–28 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
