Zonal Geranium (Bedding Geranium, Common Geranium)

They are among the most popular and widely grown bedding plants in the world, producing heads of bright red, pink, salmon, white, or bicolor flowers on compact mounds of velvety, horseshoe-zoned foliage. In zone 9a, where summers are too hot for them to thrive, they are grown as cool-season annuals from fall through spring — planted in October and blooming through March or April before summer heat causes decline.
