Опис

Plant in moist to average, slightly acidic to neutral soil in partial to full shade; yellow passionflower is the most shade-tolerant native Passiflora species and is far less aggressive than maypop (P. incarnata), making it more suitable for smaller gardens and shaded areas. The flowers are smaller than other passionflowers but share the same intricate, layered structure — creamy yellow-green petals and a distinctive corona of filaments — and are visited by long-tongued native bees for nectar. Like all native Passiflora, yellow passionflower is a host plant for the larvae of gulf fritillary, variegated fritillary, and zebra longwing butterflies. The small dark purple fruits are eaten by birds. It grows naturally along shaded woodland edges, thickets, and roadsides throughout the southeastern US and is one of the best native vines for adding butterfly-host value to a shaded fence or trellis. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження живцюванням Відстань між рослинами: 24–48 дюймів Висота: 60–180 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–30 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
