Опис

Narrowleaf false dragonhead is a slender-leaved Physostegia of moist prairies, bottomland meadows, and streambank edges in the central United States — as its name suggests, its leaves are much more narrow and grass-like than those of the common obedient plant (Physostegia virginiana), giving the plant a more delicate, fine-textured appearance in the garden. It blooms in late spring and summer with typical Physostegia spikes of pink-lavender tubular flowers that attract bumblebees and hummingbirds, and like all members of the genus the individual flowers can be physically moved to different positions on the spike — the 'hinged' or 'obedient' characteristic that makes Physostegia one of the more interactive wildflowers for garden visitors. It spreads by rhizomes and self-seeding in moist conditions, forming loose colonies along stream edges and wet meadow borders where it provides good erosion control and continuous summer bloom. In rain garden borders and wet, sunny meadow plantings, it naturalizes pleasantly without becoming overly aggressive. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження діленням куща Відстань між рослинами: 12–24 дюймів Висота: 24–60 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–30 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
