Опис

Plant in well-drained, lean, slightly alkaline soil in full sun; Lindheimer's muhly is one of the most striking large ornamental grasses native to Texas, forming graceful, arching clumps of narrow blue-green leaves 3–4 feet tall that turn golden-tan in fall, topped with silky silver-gray flower plumes 4–5 feet high from fall through winter. Named for Ferdinand Lindheimer, the pioneering Texas botanist, it is remarkably tough and adaptable — thriving in heat, drought, alkaline soils, and even rocky caliche where most ornamental grasses fail. The large, dramatic clumps provide outstanding winter structure and movement. It is somewhat tolerant of clay soils if drainage is adequate. Cut to 6 inches in late winter before new growth begins; established clumps need division only every 4–5 years when they become hollow in the center. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження діленням куща Відстань між рослинами: 36–48 дюймів Висота: 36–60 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–28 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
