Plant tiger lily bulbs in fall six to eight inches deep in rich, moist, well-drained soil in full sun to light shade. The recurved orange flowers heavily spotted with black nod in mid to late summer atop tall sturdy stems. This vigorous heirloom produces small dark bulbils in the leaf axils that can be planted to grow new bulbs. It is a known carrier of viruses, so plant it well away from other prized lilies.
