Опис

Kentucky Wisteria is the hardiest and most well-behaved of the native wisterias, native to the bottomland forests, streambanks, and moist woodland edges of the south-central United States from Illinois and Missouri south to Louisiana and Texas, producing in late spring (and often again in late summer) dense, fragrant, lavender-to-purple flower racemes 6–12 inches long that are visually spectacular on an arbor or pergola — and doing so while behaving far less aggressively than the invasive Japanese and Chinese wisterias that have escaped cultivation and naturalized throughout the southeastern United States. Named cultivars such as 'Blue Moon', 'Aunt Dee', and 'Thunderstruck' are reliable repeat-bloomers and are the preferred choice over seedlings, which may take years to bloom and produce inferior flowers. Unlike Asian wisterias, Kentucky Wisteria twines in a clockwise direction and is significantly less vigorous and easier to manage, though it still requires a strong support and annual pruning. Grow in full sun in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil — avoid over-fertilizing with nitrogen, which promotes excessive foliage at the expense of flowers. Спосіб посадки: Висадка розсади Відстань між рослинами: 120–180 дюймів Висота: 120–300 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–30 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
