Li is a large-fruited jujube cultivar producing sweet, apple-crisp fruit that can be eaten fresh or dried like dates. It thrives in hot summers and tolerates drought, alkaline soils, and neglect once established. Plant in full sun with excellent drainage; a second cultivar such as Lang nearby improves fruit set. Prune in late winter to remove suckers and thin the canopy, and harvest when the fruit turns fully brown.
