Опис

Surface sow seed in fall (light required for germination) in well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral, average to dry soil in full sun to partial shade — prairie alumroot is the native Heuchera of midwestern prairies and prairie openings, producing airy wands of tiny greenish-white flowers on slender stems above mounds of rounded, shallowly lobed, evergreen to semi-evergreen leaves. While the garden coral bells (H. sanguinea) and its many modern hybrids are more familiar in cultivation, prairie alumroot is a tough, drought-tolerant native species offering excellent ecological value — it is an important nectar source for hummingbirds and long-tongued native bees and is the host plant for specialist Heuchera-feeding insects. More drought-tolerant and sun-hardy than the woodland-origin Heuchera species, making it better suited to drier prairie-garden settings. Evergreen rosettes add winter interest. Спосіб посадки: Посів у відкритий ґрунт Відстань між рослинами: 12–18 дюймів Висота: 18–36 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–21 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 16–21°C
