Flying Dragon Hardy Orange

Flying Dragon is a dwarf, contorted selection of trifoliate orange with curved thorns and twisting stems, valued both ornamentally and as a size-controlling rootstock. It bears the same small, aromatic fruit and shares the species' extreme cold hardiness. Plant in full sun on well-drained soil, where its sculptural winter silhouette is a feature. Prune minimally to preserve the natural twisting form, and use the tart autumn fruit for preserves.
