The broadly ovate, blue-green summer leaves are attractive in their own right; they turn to exceptional shades of crimson, orange, and yellow in fall, often with all three colors on a single leaf. Easy to grow in moist, well-drained, acidic soil in full sun to partial shade, Dwarf Fothergilla is compact enough for small gardens and is valuable as a foundation planting, border accent, or naturalized understory shrub.
