Опис

Florida Wood Fern is a handsome evergreen native fern of the southeastern coastal plain, native to the moist, shaded understories of cypress swamps, bayheads, and bottomland hardwood forests from South Carolina to peninsular Florida, where it grows in the humid, warm-temperate and subtropical conditions of the lower coastal plain. Its dark, glossy, leathery fronds are fully evergreen in zones 9–11, making it one of the most attractive year-round ferns for warm-climate shade gardens, and its tolerance of briefly flooded conditions suits it to rain garden depressions and pond margins in partial shade. Closely related to Southern Wood Fern (Dryopteris ludoviciana) but adapted to the warmer, more subtropical conditions of the Florida peninsula, it is a better choice than its northern relative for zone 9b–10 landscapes. Divide clumps in spring and plant in deeply amended, consistently moist, slightly acidic soil in partial to full shade; mulch generously to maintain moisture. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження діленням куща Відстань між рослинами: 24–36 дюймів Висота: 18–36 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–30 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
