Опис

Direct sow seed in fall in well-drained, slightly alkaline to neutral, dry to average, sandy to rocky soil in full sun; white prairie clover is one of the most valuable native prairie legumes, distinctive for its unique cylindrical flower spikes — the tiny white flowers open progressively upward from the base in a narrow band that travels up the spike over 2–3 weeks, creating an unusual effect quite different from any other native wildflower. The flowers are exceptionally attractive to native bees including specialist Dalea bees (Hesperapis and Protandrena species) that collect pollen exclusively from Dalea plants. It is a nitrogen-fixing legume that enriches the soil and is drought-tolerant and long-lived once established. The deep taproot provides winter hardiness and drought resistance. An outstanding native plant for dry, sunny prairie and meadow gardens, and one of the best plants for specialist native bee support. Спосіб посадки: Посів у відкритий ґрунт Відстань між рослинами: 12–18 дюймів Висота: 18–36 дюймів Дні до схожості: 7–21 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
