Опис

Plant in moist, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil in partial shade; bleeding heart vine is one of the most exquisitely beautiful flowering vines available for shaded tropical and subtropical gardens, producing pendant clusters of flowers that are truly bicolored — the white, inflated, papery calyx (the balloon-like outer part) encloses a brilliant red corolla with protruding red stamens, creating a striking red-and-white contrast that gives the plant its common name. After the red corollas drop, the white calyces persist for weeks and gradually turn pinkish-purple, extending the display. This semi-twining vine blooms most heavily in spring and again in fall and prefers the bright, filtered shade of a pergola or porch where the flowers can be enjoyed up close. In zone 9a it needs winter protection or overwintering indoors; it thrives outdoors year-round only in frost-free areas. Keep it slightly root-bound in containers for best bloom. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження живцюванням Відстань між рослинами: 36–60 дюймів Висота: 48–120 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–28 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 21–27°C
