Опис

Plant in fertile, rich, well-drained soil in full sun; chalice vine is one of the most spectacular large-flowering plants in the world, producing enormous chalice-shaped flowers 8–10 inches across in golden yellow with purple veins and a powerful, tropical, coconut-like fragrance, strongest at night. The massive, woody vines with large, glossy evergreen leaves can eventually cover a large wall, pergola, or building. It is one of the showiest of all tropical vines for zone 10–11 landscapes and a traditional feature of California and Florida coastal gardens. Established plants are surprisingly drought tolerant. Bloom is best on established plants and often increases when the plant experiences mild drought stress in late summer-fall.
