Опис

Plant in well-drained, lean, dry to moderately moist soil in partial to full shade; cedar sage is a compact, low-growing native perennial of the limestone woodlands of the Texas Hill Country and Edwards Plateau — one of the very few native salvias that grows naturally in shade under Ashe juniper (cedar) and live oak canopies, making it exceptionally valuable for shaded Texas gardens. The small, rounded, hairy leaves are fragrant, and the brilliant red tubular flowers are produced on short spikes from spring through fall in shade conditions where few other flowering plants thrive. It is a critical hummingbird food plant. The plant stays compact and low (12–18 inches), spreads slowly by underground stolons, and requires almost no maintenance in well-drained shaded sites. Combine with turk's cap and inland sea oats for a beautiful dry shade planting. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження діленням куща Відстань між рослинами: 18–24 дюймів Висота: 12–24 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–28 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 16–21°C
