Опис

Direct sow in fall or early spring in well-drained, slightly alkaline, deeply cultivated soil in full sun to partial shade; Turkish rocket is one of the most productive and versatile perennial vegetables for the four-season food garden — a member of the mustard family (Brassicaceae) with an edible flavor profile that shifts through the season. The young spring leaves are used raw in salads with a mild, arugula-like flavor; as they age and before flowering they develop a stronger, mustardy bite better suited to cooking as a potherb. The young flower buds and flowers are eaten like broccoli raab. After flowers open, the distinctive warty, corky, two-seeded pods are produced. The plant is extremely long-lived, drought tolerant, and cold hardy once established, and produces earlier in spring than almost any other perennial vegetable. Self-seeds freely — deadhead after flowering if spread is unwanted. An outstanding low-maintenance perennial vegetable for the permaculture food garden. Спосіб посадки: Посів у відкритий ґрунт Відстань між рослинами: 18–24 дюймів Висота: 24–48 дюймів Дні до схожості: 10–21 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 10–18°C

Once established it is extremely long-lived and drought tolerant. A perennial vegetable that will produce for decades in the right site.
