Buckwheat tree is an evergreen native shrub or small tree of the Gulf Coastal Plain, forming dense thickets in bogs, bay swamps, and along black-water stream margins from South Carolina to eastern Texas — a dominant species in some Gulf Coast wetland plant communities known as 'titi bays.' In early spring, dense racemes of fragrant white to pinkish flowers smother the branches before the leaves fully emerge, providing critical early-season nectar for native bees, including honeybees, which produce a distinctively flavored 'titi honey' prized by beekeepers. The distinctive buckwheat-shaped winged fruits ripen in summer and persist into fall, giving the tree its common name. Grow at the margins of rain gardens, constructed wetlands, or low-lying acidic areas where the soil stays moist to wet — it forms a naturalistic thicket that provides excellent wildlife cover and spring pollinator support. Спосіб посадки: Висадка розсади Відстань між рослинами: 72–144 дюймів Висота: 120–480 дюймів Дні до схожості: 21–60 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
