Опис
Plant in moist, fertile, slightly acidic to neutral, well-drained soil in partial shade; yesterday-today-and-tomorrow takes its name from one of the most enchanting flower color-change sequences in horticulture: the fragrant, flat-faced flowers open deep violet-purple ('yesterday'), fade to lavender ('today'), and turn white ('tomorrow') before dropping — so at any given moment a single plant displays all three colors simultaneously, creating a remarkable polychrome effect. The sweetly fragrant flowers appear in spring and intermittently through summer and fall. This attractive, moderate-growing evergreen shrub performs best in the bright shade of a pergola or lath house where it is protected from scorching afternoon sun. A critical caution: all parts of the plant are highly toxic to dogs, causing severe neurological symptoms including tremors and seizures — it should not be planted where dogs can access the fruit or flowers. Prune lightly after the main spring bloom flush.

Час посадки: 2–6 тижнів spring
Plant container-grown shrubs in spring in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral, fertile soil in partial shade to full sun; brunfelsia prefers bright, indirect light or morning sun with afternoon shade in the heat of zone 9. All parts of the plant are toxic to pets, particularly dogs — the alkaloid brunfelsamidine causes severe neurological symptoms.
