Опис

Root cuttings and plant in moist to consistently wet, slightly acidic to neutral, fertile soil in full sun to partial shade — bog sage from South America produces one of the most pure, clear, vivid sky-blue flower colors available in any garden plant: small, two-lipped, brilliant cerulean-blue flowers in dense terminal spikes from July through hard frost, on tall, gracefully arching stems of narrow, bright green leaves with a pleasant herbal fragrance. It grows naturally in boggy, wet meadows and stream margins and requires consistently moist soil — ideal for rain gardens, wet low areas, and the moist margins of ponds. The plant spreads vigorously by underground stolons in suitable conditions, eventually forming large patches: excellent for covering wet, difficult areas but needs management in smaller beds. In zone 7–8 it may die back in winter but resprouts reliably from established stolons; in zone 9–10 it grows as a large, nearly evergreen perennial. One of the finest late-season blue flowers for the moist garden. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження живцюванням Відстань між рослинами: 24–36 дюймів Висота: 48–72 дюймів Дні до схожості: 10–21 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
