Blue Daze (Dwarf Morning Glory)

Plant rooted cuttings in very well-drained, lean to average soil in full sun after last frost; blue daze is one of the most beloved summer annuals in Gulf Coast gardens, producing a continuous cascade of brilliant sky-blue flowers from spring through frost over trailing stems of soft silver-green leaves. It behaves as a perennial groundcover in zone 9–10, spreading to form a low, drought-tolerant mat of near-constant bloom through the summer months when most plants struggle with heat. The blue flower color is exceptionally vivid under southern summer sun. Excellent in containers, hanging baskets, rock gardens, or as a front-of-border annual where summer heat and excellent drainage are provided. Propagate by rooted stem cuttings in fall to maintain plants through winter in zone 9+.
