Опис

Plant offsets in well-drained, dry, rocky to sandy soil in full sun — blue agave is the world-famous Mexican highland succulent that is the sole legal source of tequila, cultivated in vast plantations in the Jalisco region of Mexico where it requires 7–10 years to mature before the piña (heart) is harvested for distillation. As an ornamental landscape plant it is spectacularly bold: rigid, channeled, blue-gray leaves up to 5 feet long with very sharp terminal spines form enormous symmetrical rosettes that make striking architectural focal points. After 7–12 years of growth, a single 20-foot flower spike is produced; the plant dies afterward but produces numerous offsets. Outstanding for dramatic, statement-making specimens in dry, hot, zone 9–11 landscapes, tropical-style gardens, and as a large container plant. The 'Weber Azul' variety is the tequila industry standard and the most commonly available cultivar in nursery trade. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження діленням куща Відстань між рослинами: 48–72 дюймів Висота: 48–72 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–28 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 21–27°C
