Опис

Bahama Wild Coffee is a compact native evergreen shrub, native to the coastal hammocks and tropical hardwood forests of south Florida, the Keys, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean, where it grows as a common understory shrub beneath larger canopy trees in partial to full shade. Similar to Wild Coffee (Psychotria nervosa) but with smaller, shinier, privet-like leaves (hence the species epithet ligustrifolia, meaning privet-leaved), it produces small white flowers year-round that attract native bees and butterflies, followed by clusters of red berries that turn black and are avidly consumed by migratory warblers, thrushes, and robins in fall and winter. An outstanding native shade shrub for zone 9b–11 landscapes where its shade tolerance, modest size, year-round bloom, and exceptional wildlife value make it a versatile foundation plant, hedge component, or understory specimen. Grow in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil in partial shade; established plants tolerate brief drought but prefer consistent moisture. Спосіб посадки: Висадка розсади Відстань між рослинами: 24–48 дюймів Висота: 24–60 дюймів Дні до схожості: 21–60 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 21–27°C
