Опис

Plant in moist to average, slightly acidic to neutral soil in partial shade to full sun; devil's walking stick is one of the most architecturally dramatic native plants in eastern North America — a large, coarse shrub or small tree with massive bipinnate-to-tripinnate compound leaves (sometimes 3–4 feet long) arranged in a palm-like whorl at the top of unbranched, viciously prickle-armed stems. The effect in the landscape is aggressively tropical and primitive — unlike anything else in the native plant palette. In late summer, enormous flat-topped clusters of tiny white flowers (12–18 inches across) provide a spectacular nectar feast for dozens of native bee and butterfly species. The dark purple berries in fall are consumed by more than 100 bird species during fall migration. It suckers to form dense colonies in moist woodland edges — give it space or contain it. Спосіб посадки: Висадка розсади Відстань між рослинами: 48–96 дюймів Висота: 60–240 дюймів Дні до схожості: 30–60 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 16–21°C
