An aprium is an apricot-dominant hybrid with the sweetness of apricot and a hint of plum, often bearing a faint fuzz. Plant in full sun on light, well-drained soil in a frost-protected spot, since apricot-type blooms open very early. Many apriums are self-fruitful but crop more heavily with an apricot pollinator nearby. Prune in dry summer weather to limit disease and thin the fruit for good size.
