Опис

Plant in moist, slightly alkaline to neutral, humus-rich, well-drained soil in partial to deep shade — Florida maidenhair fern is native to Florida hammock forests and limestone outcrops throughout Florida, the Caribbean, and tropical America, closely resembling the popular houseplant maidenhair (A. raddianum) but more cold and heat tolerant and uniquely adapted to the limestone-influenced, neutral to slightly alkaline soils of Florida garden settings. The fronds are more robust and somewhat less fragile than A. raddianum, making it more suitable as an outdoor landscape plant in zone 9–11. New fronds emerge with a lovely pinkish-bronze color that matures to bright green, creating a multicolored effect on established clumps. It is excellent for shaded patio containers, covered porches, and shaded garden beds with neutral to slightly alkaline limestone soils, where it provides an elegant, lacey texture. Unlike A. raddianum, it tolerates the outdoor humidity and heat of zone 9–10 without the constant intensive care needed by its more tropical relative. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження діленням куща Відстань між рослинами: 12–18 дюймів Висота: 18–30 дюймів
