Опис

Southern Maidenhair Fern is the subtropical maidenhair native to the Gulf Coast and southern United States, native to moist limestone ledges, cave mouths, waterfall spray zones, and moist shaded cliffs from Virginia to Florida and west to California and south through the tropics, where it grows in the constant moisture of seeping or spray-wetted rock faces in deep shade. Its delicate, fan-shaped, bright green leaflets on arching, wiry black stems make it one of the most graceful and ornamental of all ferns; in zones 8–11 it is semi-evergreen to evergreen in the garden, providing year-round texture in the deep shade. Unlike most native ferns, Southern Maidenhair Fern prefers neutral to slightly alkaline soil and is naturally found on limestone substrates — amend planting areas with crushed limestone or dolomite and keep the soil constantly moist. An exceptional fern for shaded water features, seep gardens, or moist rockeries. Спосіб посадки: Розмноження діленням куща Відстань між рослинами: 12–18 дюймів Висота: 8–18 дюймів Дні до схожості: 14–30 Температура ґрунту для схожості: 18–24°C
